Family Pension (MBOCWWB)

The scheme Family Pension is a social security scheme, implemented by the Meghalaya Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (MBOCWWB), Labour Department, Government of Meghalaya. Under the scheme, in the event of the death of a pensioner who was receiving a pension from the Board, a family pension shall be given to the surviving spouse by the Board.

Benefits

  1. In the event of the death of the pensioner, a family pension shall be given to the surviving spouse.
  2. The amount of pension will be 50% of the pension received by the pensioner or ?100/- whichever is higher.

Eligibility

  1. The beneficiary should be a resident of Meghalaya.
  2. The deceased individual/worker should have been receiving a pension from the Meghalaya Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
  3. In the event of the death of the pensioner, the surviving spouse shall be eligible for the family pension.
  4. The spouse of the pensioner should not be receiving any pension from the Government/Semi-Government/Private Organization.
  5. The spouse of the pensioner should not be receiving any salary from the Government/Semi-Government/Private Organization.

Online Registration Process (Portal):

  1. The applicants may visit the online Portal: https://megbocwwb.gov.in/bocw_services/login.htm?

  2. The applicant can register by creating a new account, on the home page click on the ‘Worker’ button and enter all the mandatory information.

  3. After filling in all the details, click on ‘Register’.

  4. After successful registration, the applicant will see the message Registered Successfully.

    Application Process for Family Pension:

  5. Visit the online Portal: https://megbocwwb.gov.in/bocw_services/login.htm

  6. Enter your User ID (Registered Mobile Number), Password, and Enter Security Code. Click on Login.

  7. After successful login, click on the Family Pension scheme from the Dashboard.

  8. Fill in all the required information and necessary enclosures.

  9. Click ‘Submit’ to apply for benefits.

    Application Process to Track/Update:

  10. Visit the online Portal: https://megbocwwb.gov.in/bocw_services/login.htm?

  11. Enter your User ID (Registered Mobile Number), Password, and Enter Security Code. Click on Login.

  12. From the menu, click on ‘Track Application Status’.

  13. Click on ‘View Details’ to view your application.

  14. Click on ‘Application History’ to view the application history.

  15. Click on ‘Update’ to update your application.

    Note: Once your application is under process or processed, you cannot update it.

    Documents Required

    1. Identity proof of the applicant
    2. MBOCWWB ID Card of the pensioner/worker
    3. Medical Death Certificate of the Beneficiary by Chief Medical Officer
    4. Officers Certificate showing the relationship between the applicant and the worker
    5. Officers Certificate stating that the applicant is not receiving any pension from the Government/ Semi-Government/Private Organization
    6. Officers Certificate stating that the applicant is not receiving any salary from the Government/ Semi-Government/Private Organization
    7. Challan/Receipt of All of the Monthly Subscriptions paid
    8. Bank account details/Bank Passbook
    9. Any other documents as required
